I come to the practice of psychotherapy in New York City after over 20 years in the performing arts as an actor, director, and teacher. In the theatre, I found a safe and creative place to witness and give voice to the hopes and struggles that make us human. That path eventually led me to social work and psychotherapy, guided by the belief that no person can be reduced to a label or diagnosis. Each of us is on a unique journey shaped by personal, social, political, historical, and environmental forces. It can feel overwhelming to make sense of this alone—and therapy can help.
My approach is humanistic, relational, compassion-focused, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed. I integrate a range of evidence-based modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and internal family systems (IFS). For clients who resonate with the arts, I also incorporate creative and expressive therapies such as drama therapy and psychodrama.
As your therapist, I provide a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your story and feel truly heard. Together, we will work collaboratively to address challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, and life transitions. My goal is to support you in reclaiming authorship of your story, strengthening resilience, and building the skills you need to thrive.
If you’re looking for a therapist in Manhattan who integrates creative and evidence-based approaches, I would be honored to walk alongside you in your healing process.
